Omaha Hi-Lo rules
The pot is split between the best high hand and the best low hand.
How a hand goes
- 1Dealt and played like Omaha: four cards, exactly two of yours plus three from the board.
- 2A low is five different cards, all 8 or lower, and the ace counts as low. Straights and flushes do not spoil a low.
- 3Half the pot goes to the best high hand, half to the best low. With no qualifying low, the high hand takes it all.
What wins
The high half goes to the best hand in this list:
1A♠K♠Q♠J♠10♠royal flush
29♥8♥7♥6♥5♥straight flush
3K♣K♦K♥K♠3♦four of a kind
4Q♥Q♦Q♠7♣7♥full house
5A♦J♦8♦5♦2♦flush
610♣9♦8♠7♥6♣straight
78♣8♦8♠K♥4♣three of a kind
8J♥J♣4♦4♠A♣two pair
910♥10♠K♦7♣3♥pair
10A♥Q♣9♦6♠3♣high card
The low half: five different cards, 8 or lower (best first)
15♠4♥3♦2♣A♠5-4-3-2-A
26♦4♣3♥2♠A♣6-4-3-2-A
38♣7♦6♥5♠4♣8-7-6-5-4
Good to know
- A low is only possible when at least three different cards 8 or lower are on the board.
- One hand can win both halves; A-2 with a low board is the dream.
